This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TABASCO® Original Red. All opinions are 100% mine.

TABASCO® Original Red is one of my favorite sauces; fellow foodie bloggers as well as my family will attest to that. I use Tabasco sauces in numerous marinade recipes, for enhancing vegetable casseroles, as well as to kick up the flavor and heat of red beans and rice. It is no wonder the company tag line reads, “TABASCO® Original Red, “So Much More Than Hot.”

Like spicy chicken? Try coating chicken thighs in Tabasco Red mixed with a bit of Honey Dijon Dressing, dredge in breadcrumbs or seasoned flour, and bake. The result is a crispy oven fried spicy chicken with just a hint of sweet. Plus avoid the fat and hassle of frying chicken! As for buffalo chicken wings, oh my gosh Tabasco Original Red is so necessary. Did you know just two tablespoons of Tabasco original sauce will spice about two pounds of chicken wings to a perfect medium heat?

Wash chicken wings and pat try. Next, fry chicken wings until crisp. I used my electric turkey fryer and fried them up in one batch. Prior to owning this appliance, I would fry the chicken wings in batches in a deep frying pan or kettle. When the wings are done drain on paper towels while preparing the sauce.

Spicy Chicken Wings

Sauce

½ stick butter

4 Tbsp red wine vinegar

2 Tbsp TABASCO® Original Red

1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the sauce, I use a large chicken fryer pan. Melt butter over low heat. Add the vinegar and hot sauce and mix until all the liquids have blended thoroughly. Sprinkle the sauce with the Italian seasoning, stir, and cook for one or two minutes. Add half the chicken wings, stir, and toss to completely coat the wings. Cover and cook for about five minutes on low. Repeat the process for remaining chicken wings. Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing.

Original red is perfect to splash on a pizza for Sunday football, just ask my hubby. That man loves the stuff to spice up his pizza. In fact, I found that many people enjoy Tabasco on pizza. I took the time to check out Tabasco’s Pizza Perfected and Game-Day Party Menu. These are definitely the sites to visit for flavorful, kicked up Super Bowl recipes.

A few Tabasco Red facts:

Original Red was the first sauce introduced by the McIlhenny family back in 1868. It continues to be their most popular sauce.

TABASCO® Original Red is not about only the heat but also about what that heat does to the flavor of food. The simple combination of salt, red pepper, and vinegar are perfected in a 3-year aging process that produces a hot sauce with the ability to bring the most out of food. Simply put, TABASCO® Original Red enhances the flavor of food, I’m just saying.

Now you see why Tabasco Red Original is one of my favorite sauces, right?
