This post brought to you by Astrobrights Papers by Neenah Paper. All opinions are 100% mine.

AstroBrights paper is groovy, boss, cool, and now da bomb! The colors are so vibrant, so nostalgic that I could not resist accepting this offer. WHAT? What does nostalgia have to do with AstroBrights paper?

This midlife woman sees those brilliant AstroBrights and instantaneously a flood of fond memories from the psychedelic sixties rush forth. Psychedelic art was as movement of the late 1960s counterculture and carried on into the seventies. The world was a kaleidoscope of bright colors depicted everywhere. Advertisements, clothing, home décor, and even electronics were vibrantly colored. According to Wikipedia, “General Electric, for instance, promoted clocks with designs by New York artist Peter Max.”  Brilliant color is truly a walk down memory lane!

Origami - Midlife Nostalgia

Make Something AstroBright

As I remember it, the Psychedelic Art movement was followed by an Origami craze. Again, the bright colors were center stage. In fact, my geometry teacher used bright Origami paper models for geometric illustration.

Speaking of folding, do you remember making paper pinwheels with mom? Those simple cut and fold crafts were great fun. Years later, my kids enjoyed making pinwheels too. Evidently, with the help of AstroBrights papers, this simple craft stood the test of time. Mommygaga.com shared her mother – son pinwheel experience with AstroBrights. Simple, bright, and still fun!
