Being an “Old Skool” gamer mom with an all male family categorically qualifies mom’s opinion as just about expert right. To shed some light on the homestead back in the day imagine this; our household consisted of two sons, a husband, a male dog, and a male Iguana along with two play station gaming machines, one original Nintendo system, four televisions, and three computers with Internet service. Contact sports and fighting games were at the top of the family fun list. Can you imagine the testosterone levels and the hours of gaming that went on back then?
Fast forward to the present time if you will and imagine what the home situation would be like today with PlayStation(R)MOVE. Clearly, there would be an interactive war going on throughout the house and more than just one family game night! Resident Evil 5 and Heavy Rain would most definitely be played. I canhear it now,You can’t talk, you are dead! or No eating, I shot you!
NBA 11 is available and with NBA Jam too, OMG the guys would go crazy! NBA jam was a favorite for household competitions. Back in the day, the boys would make bets, offering up favorite snacks, chores, and even allowances for the big win!
There would be some serious butt kicking going on with the Sports Champions game. The game offers a choice of 10 worldwide athletes to engage in recreational or competitive sporting activities including Disc Golf, Gladiator Duel, Beach Volleyball, Archery, Table Tennis, and Bocce. Experienced in bow shooting along with my precise movements will definitely give the men a run for their money, I’m just sayin’. Dad lives with us now and is an avid golf fan. The vision of him golfing in the family room is a definite reality.
